Dr. Shaina Preis grew up in Marlboro, New Jersey, where she developed her love for science and animals.
She received her undergraduate degree in zoology and anthropology from the University of Wisconsin—Madison in 2004. While in Wisconsin, her studies included research on primate behavior in the jungles of Costa Rica, and after graduation, Dr. Preis worked with monkeys as an environmental enrichment specialist for several years. Dr. Preis then went on to receive her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Louisiana State University (LSU) in 2010.
Since then, Dr. Preis has spent over a decade in Atlanta caring for pets and the families that love them. She enjoys all aspects of veterinary medicine, but her specific areas of interest are internal medicine, dentistry, and geriatric health.
Above all, Dr. Preis thoroughly enjoys the relationships that she develops with her clients and patients. She lives in Atlanta with her husband, her two daughters, and their “funny-looking” terrier named Easy.
